2 quick questions

Problem 1) I had the 6035 for 2 years, and have had the 7135 since April, and have never encountered this difficulty:

Now when I try to send mail from EudoraMail, which I've been doing for 2.5 years now (via airbridge), about 50% of the time, I get an immediate message that states:

-----------
Server requests password:
mail.airbridge.net
The outgoing (SMTP) mail server is requesting a username and password.

Is it okay to send POP username and password?
-----------

Notes:
(a) If I say 'yes', it doesn't work. If I say 'no', then about 50% of the time it sends the mail. Otherwise, it gives me an addressing error.

(b) This is not an error from the airbridge network - it comes up immediately, before it could have possibly contacted the network.

(c) I have not changed the configuration of my Eudoramail at all. This started happening a couple of weeks ago.

Problem 2:
Is there ANY way for the phone to keep the 'brightness' setting? Once or twice a day, it seems to default back to a value that I don't prefer.

Thanks

I can answer one question . . .

From the 7135's inception it has had several contrast bugs with some of the units. One was mostly cured with the last software upgrade but the one where you open the flip and your contrast settings changes on it's own is the one that many of us are looking to be corrected with the next software upgrade. Hope this answers your question as you were asking about brightnesss and my guess is it's the contrast bug that's annoying you.
For all that this phone does, it's just a little annoyance you need to deal with until its corrected.

This may be true, but it is in fact the brightness that keeps defaulting to an unacceptable level (my opinion).

No suggestions for a solution to the outgoing mail problem?

Changing the contrast setting a little should help, if not resolve it. Do a search on "contrast".

Also, do a search on "airbridge" to get some help on your first questions.
