Disable the AC Power Sound?

Sorry if this has been answered before, but can the sound you get when you plug in AC power to the phone be disabled/muted?

I wan't to start plugging in my phone on my night stand, but when I come to bed after my wife and plug in my phone, that sound is sure to wake her up.

Any help is appreciated.

Plug it in BEFORE she goes to bed...
or plug your cradle into an extenstion cord and plug in the phone in the hallway, then bring into your room...
well you did say "any help..."
OK... Turning off the system sounds doesn't seem to do it on mine but I noticed it only beeps when the battery needs charging. I don't know if the Tech sounds hack will control that. Maybe you should the extension cord senario...
On another note I think my wife would kill me if I brought my 7135 to bed with me. She tolerates my tech toys only because they stay in my office.

Try this: hold the lower volume key to activate "silent mode". Plug in phone. If desired, hold upper volume key to disable "silent mode". When disabling there will be a single short beep that is much quieter than the power alert.

Mine (with system sounds off) doesn't make ANY sound when leaving mute mode. And only vibrates briefly when entering.

Good luck

The Silent mode trick seems to work. I just have to make sure I reactivate sounds after I plug it in.

Thanks!

p.s. Would be nice to be able to just mute that particular sound.

Even in silent mode, if the phone has power (adapter or cradle) it will ring. To stop that, you have to change the ringer in the setup or try a sound hack (I forget the name).

Same

If I have it silenced there is no AC initiation sound on mine. Before or after the upgrade.
