I have been playing with the demo of Warfare Inc for the past few days and while I really like the game, I do not get any sound when I play it. I have not seen this issue raised on any other forums, so I am assuming it is an issue with the 7135. Is anyone else out there playing this game, and if so, do you have sound?
I also do not have sound. I have registered the program, and still didn't get sound. I've reported the bug to Handmark. They have forwarded the program to their development team.
I am assuming that people here have had the same experience as myself, in the fact that the sound does not work on the 7135, However if you start the game and then shut the flip and open it again whilst still playing the sound kicks into action.
I have had a responce from handmark (The 7135 uses a different sound API than any other Palm OS device on the market, so the sound doesn't work correctly on the 7135 at this time. This is something we'd like to fix, but our development team haven't been able to find an immediate solution. It will likely require crafting 7135 specific sounds, which wasn't anticipated, so it may be a while before a fix is available).
Is there anybody who thinks this would be worth trying to find a fix for this problem?
I'm not addressing the sound bug issue but I had a question about the game. I've heard several members of this forum talk about Warfare, is it very playable on the 7135's tiny screen. It looks like lack of hi-res and large screen size would make it difficult to play unlike say a Tungsten T3 which it would probably be really great on.
The game is completly playable on the 7135, although a bigger screen would make it better, however it is still probably one of the best games I have seen for such a small device
I've just been playing some with the demo on my PC Palm emulator and it looks pretty cool, think I'll give it a chance although I'll have to wait till I get home and can use my cradle to install it as opposed to using IR. Saw there was three files, can you store any of those files on a memory card?
I downloaded the Warfare demo. But the sound has the same "clicking" problem we used to get in Kinoma or Tealmovie. Since I already have the Kinoma patches installed, I guess they aren't any help with Warfare. That's a shame. I don't think I'd pay for Warfare unless they fixed the sound. But the demo is pretty cool.
I finished the Warfare demo yesterday. I must say that this is my favorite Palm game to date. (Aargon being my 2nd favorite.) I think I will go ahead and buy the registered version of Warfare even if the sound is kind of messed up. I don't mind playing it with no sound.
