I might even start using the holster since I have added insurance to my phone. The Holster and Leathe case seem to be the "quickest" ways to answer the phone. The pouch is a little slow.... Open the pouch, pull out the phone, and then open flip to answer. Opening the velcro pouch is pretty loud as well.
In my experience at least, the phone comes out of the holster and falls to the ground. I wear my holster while jogging, etc, and it really seems to hang on very well. What usually happens for me is that I'm carrying the phone with the holster turned sideways, so that it fits more comfortably on the belt. I accidentally knock into something, come too close to a doorknob, whatever, and the little plastic bit that releases the phone (which is in front while sideways) gets pushed. I've never actually dropped the phone that way, because I'm twitchy paranoid about it, but I have had to catch it a couple of times.
I find it is definitely the quickest-release method. Interestingly, I was playing with a friend's new Motorola belt-clip, and, although the design was almost identical, the release clip was much much harder to push. This seems like a more secure design-- but it took about twice as long to get the phone out of the holster. Tradeoffs....
I still have yet to use the included holster (it's right here in a desk draw still in the original plastic bag). During the day I use the leather pouch, and at night I use the leather case. I guess I'm just too paranoid to use the holster... and now I'm in the habit of using the pouch/case combo and don't feel like changing, even though there hasn't been that many reported incidents involving the holster.

The only thing I really don't like about the pouch is the belt clip. Has anyone been successfull modifying the pouch with a new clip?
I like the design of the Nutcase, but it seems pretty pricey.
I just switched back to the pouch from the Holster as I found out I was "worrying" too much about my phone when in the Holster. I don't even think about damaging or loosing it while it is in the pouch.
I may try to combine the Holster clip onto the pouch. That would then be a near perfect case. Wish it didn't have the velcro.... If it has a magnetic snap, then it would be perfect (with the new clip on it...)
Regarding the Pouch vs. Holster for the 7135, I dropped the phone in the holster and put a small scratch on it. Determined not to do further damage, I ordered the pouch from the Kyocera website. I love it - except the clip is very small. I agree - it did not feel as sturdy as the holster clip. I previously owned the 6035, and had purchased the leather case, and it had a great clip on it - I took this from the 6035 case and it fit perfectly on the new 7135 pouch! At least I feel now if I drop it, it will receive mimimal damage.
I have the Handspring pouch, but it's too hard to access.
As long as Verizon replaces the broken clip, and it only breaks when in the car, I'll stick with it for the convinient access. I HAVE bought a second holster, to avoid downtime.
But thanks for the abuse.

Usually getting into out out of the car...
That used to happen to me frequently with the holsters I purchased for the 6035. I lost count how many of them I went through. However, I have had NO problems like that with the holster for the 7135. The holster is all I use and I find it perfectly satisfactory. I even purchased a leather case and wound up giving it away.
Originally posted by EZ_B I have to second mjaffe's assertion earlier in this thread. A friend carries a Treo in this < http://www.handspring.com/products/P...002&cat=230003 > case so I asked him to let me see how it fits my 7135. The answer is very well.
I just received my Treo case, and it's perfect! I will feel much more secure now. Almost saw my phone hit the ground head-first the other day (I caught it before it fell too far) as it jumped out of the holster as I was lifting a few too many groceries out of the trunk...now I can relax a bit.
I have been using the holder that Kyocera provided when I purchased my 7135, but I wanted the pouch. It is easier for me. I get alot of calls and sometimes while fumbling through my briefcase and finally prying my phone out of the holder, I loose the call. Maybe this way the process is less consuming! I bought my via ebay and it came from Kyocera and I should be seeing it in the mail soon, I will report later on my findings.
Originally posted by Beryl I never use my OEM pouch either. The handstrap and/or holster does the job well enough.
Beryl, I have always viewed the holster as a device worn on a belt. I wear a belt everyday and therefore the holster is convenient for me. 7135 uses of the female persuasion may see this differently. Are you able to use the holster effectively most days?

Nope. I've clipped it on my belt, purse, folio, and even on my sweater near the shoulder (anchored by other-garments :wink ). It does look a little to bulky/geeky so that is why the handstrap comes in handy.
