Jaxxon, I'm sure they will! Just a matter of time. So be sure to give them your input on their website. They already made a section for the 7135 on their site but they are just selling the screen protectors right now.

I loved my EB case for my Palm Vx. It even had a space for business cards. Very handy!

I was turning, so when I hit the door, it just pressed the phone out...it wasn't jarring or anything...it was surprisingly easy.

As far as the clip upside down, I was worried and careful the first day, but the rest of the week I didn't even think about it. I had it there even when I was driving...no problems.

Azzy was talking about the holster, not the leather case or pouch. I keep mine in my pocket for now until I get a price quote for the case from Dan. Is the swivel on the holster you to turn the phone 180 degrees? If so, you can clip it to the underside of your belt and turn the actual holder 180 so the phone's right-side up. I did this with a pouch for my 6035, since the swivel allowed full movement (but alas, no locking).

Yep... there is a cutout for that on the top (and also on the bottom for a wall charger and/or sync cable)... along with access to the volume buttons and headset jack

Body Glove Pouches?

I really liked the BodyGlove pouches except for the clip (I sewed a wide nylon strap on it for a belt loop). Those are the ones (small) that they sell in the Verizon stores out here. Anybody tried the large size pouch?

For that matter. Does anybody know of a phone that has been out for a while that has the same, or close, dimensions as the 7135? For now, it would be a whole lot easier to look for cases for a phone thats been out for a while.

I've been looking at Rugged Cases on the web. They claim an "indestructible" swivel clip.

how about a RipOff Case.
www.ripoffs.com case #Co-129
http://www.ripoffs.com/datasheets/co129/co129.html

it fits the 7135 perfectly (with the exception of it has to go in backwards) - LCD facing wrong way. Great case though.

I want a pouch type case that doesn't use velcro. I prefer a magnetic snap because of the noise velco makes when you open it.

From the pictures of the other PDA cases the clip looks like one of the simple spring steel ones... no "hook"?

I like the plastic belt holster with the swivel clip.

I find the fitted leather case by Verizon has too many cutouts and some of them don't fit quite right. Especially the cutout over the LCD display. And I never liked the clear plastic covering that goes over the keypad buttons. Also the belt clip seems to make the phone difficult to remove in a hurry to take a call. Too much fumbling.

The plastic belt holster seems fine. I really like the fact that the phone fits in the holster with the front toward your body. This way the front can not get scratched (as someone mentioned earlier). And even if the back cover does get scratched, you can buy a replacement at the Kyocera accessory store!

And the belt clip sure seems sturdy!

I did know there was a clear plastic covering on the keys. But I guess that makes sense because it needs to be held on the the phone somehow.

If you cut the plastic off would the case even stay on the phone?

Thanks for rephrasing my question. That's exactly what I meant. Some ppl here did remove the plastic for a similar 6035 case without problems, so I was wondering if doing the same for the 7135 case would render it useless.

Robert,

Does the pouch stick out from the clip as much as the leather case? I found the leather case to protrude to far from my belt for comfort. Thanks!

No, it's not as bad as the leather case. The pouch uses the same belt clip as the case, but it doesn't "lean" out like the case does.

I had the Kyocera leather case for the 6035. It was well designed and had only a thin plastic strip that crossed the front of the phone near the hard buttons. I don't really understand why Kyocera didn't do the same for the 7135... except maybe because the top half of the 7135 case is not fitted as snugly (when the phone is open the top half of the case is kinda loose). Cutting some of the plastic off might be worth a shot if you're willing to take a chance on ruining the case (which is only around $8-$9 from Dan).

But you still like the case the best? Do you ever bump it against things?

I'm starting to appreciate the pouch more than the case now... but I find that under certain curcumstances I still prefer the case. I've never really bumped it against anything... but I also prefer keeping my case or pouch towards the front on my belt, and not the side.

I used the holster exclusively up until a few days ago when my leather case came from Dan. The holster worked really well, though it was a little difficult to put it back in while sitting in the car wearing a jacket. The case is nice, and the little pocket for an extra memory card is nifty, but it really could use some improvement. It holds the phone WAY too far away from the body. Its so loose that it swivels freely and, for me anyway, seems to be always pointing in the wrong direction. My phone has also flipped itself open a couple of times while using the case. I've missed several calls because its impossible to feel the phone vibrating when its in the case, the holster never gave me that problem.

Bottom line, I'm going back to the holster. I may use the case occasionally, but the holster will remain my primary means of securing the phone. I just wish it had a nifty little SD card pocket!
