Microsoft Apps on 7135
Does anyone know of a site to get free downloads of Microsoft Office apps for the 7135, I have been seeing prices in the $70+ ranges.

Yes, Quickoffice provides a free download of QuickOffice for 7135 customers:
http://www.cesinc.com/quickoffice/kyocera
Just register and you will get an email in a day or so withthe link to download the QuickOffice 6.2. It comes on the new 7135 CD's.

Dumb Question
I know this is a dumb question, but I'm confused. In order to register for the QuickOffice software, they want the serial number from my Kyocera 7135. Where do I find the serial number? If I remove the battery cover, I can find the ESN number. From the Palm App Info, there is an ID number. I simply can't find anything on the device or box that says "serial number: 00000000". Am I missing something? Thanks.

I think the ESN is what they want. BTW, you can locate it w/out taking out the battery:
Go to the Phone screen, and dial 1111111.
You'll notice a 'down arrow' appear after you dial the 6th '1'. Scroll down and select 'Options', then select 'Version'.
Scroll down to the ESN, which is shown in both hexadecimal and decimal formats.

?
I entered first the Dec, then the Hex, then both Dec followed by a space, then the Hex ESN numbers, but keep getting the invalid SN error message. Anyone been successful downloading the quickoffice 6.2?

Until you try out the Premier version and get hooked on being able to work with natively formatted files!

Careful with Quick Office
Before installing QO (especially from the 7135 CD) - you should read this thread.
Older QO versions and Snappermail's updated demo QO Premier installed on top of one another have been problematic to say the least.[

Try the link again. I fixed it.
In short, install the latest version of QO you can. But do not install the one from the CD if you plan to use Snappermail.

I'm in the same boat as Pete L.
The QO site won't accept my ESN either as hex or decimal.
Just so we're on the same page the hex ESN is 8 characters long and the decimal ESN is XXX-XXXXXXXX.
I've tried both, the decimal with and without the - and with and without the first three digits.
It will not accept these numbers!
Please, any ideas?

This may sound stupid, but enter "Kyocera" as your SN.

I found my Quickoffice automatically populated the serial number as: KYOCERA
All I had to do was use a bogus company name and the program installed correctly.
