any travel sync solutions?

my palm Vx had a travel cable, which was much more portable than the cradle. any such solutions for the kyo? are people just porting the whole cradle around? i like that i can recharge with just the cord, but a smaller sync solution would be great.

The 'True USB' cable is what you're looking for.

anyone use the true usb with mac osX?

i can't believe how quick you guys are to reply.

i had wondered about the true usb cable. for some reason, my mac running os X (10.2.5) doesn't find the kyo with the usb portion of the sync cradle, but works fine with the serial connector thru a keyspan serial-usb converter.

anyone using a true usb successfully on the mac?

thanks,
-db

My VZW corporate rep told me VZW is coming out with 'Internet Sync' for the 7135 in a month or so. It allows you to sync with your PC over the internet. I told him I would not be a good candidate since my PC is always on the go with me anyway.

I'm using the true usb cable on my iBook 12.1 running OS X.2.5. I've been using it like this since X.2.3.

If you're trying to sync with the true usb cable you must go into the HotSync app on the Palm and hit the HotSync button. If you're trying to use it for a modem then you need to have the 'Fax/Modem' app running. I use it both ways all the time and it works great!

BTW, the USB on the cradle also works fine with my iBook for HotSyncing, haven't tried it for modem use yet though.

I use the Network sync option and Express Network to hotsync over the air to the pc in my office. Just open up the appropriate ports on the firewall, and viola! Works great!
