Has anybody successfully purchased 7135 from GetConnected and then had their existing Verizon number transferred to the 7135? I have a 6035 with no contract, have had same number for years and don't want to lose it.

asked the same question to VZ in Southern Ca today. I was told if you buy the phone without service plan, you could keep the same number. However, if you want any of the "deals", you needed to be a new customer, get a new number assigned, and lose your current number. Also, I was told (not sure it is true), if Verizon locates you as a current customer (contract or not), they will not give Kyocera the $$$ for a new customer and you will be charged the difference.
