Since I haven't yet seen a 7135 in person, and I've been wondering what if the color screen would ease the problems I'm having with my 6035's screen. Is this pic accurate in its size and how the screen display looks?
Yes, the screen above is very similar. The size above will be comparable to the real thing depending on your screen resolution and monitor size. From the sounds of larry, he is running a 17" monitor @ 1280x1024
Maybe someone can post a picture of their 7135 next to their 6035. I'd have to wait until I get home from work to do it.
The screen size is about the same if not exactly the same size except that the grafitti area is separated. The clarity of the color screen is great in all but the brightest light. Once you get to use the 7135, the 6035 seems like a dinosaur.
It's interesting that people are seeing different sizes of the pic. I assumed the pic would look the same no matter what resolution one was running, unless it's being increased or decreased by the viewer program? Has anyone taken any actual size pics of their 7135 with the screen on?

It's been done, and it's in here somewhere. A search might work?

What you are looking at is as everyone has said a simulated screen.
I have a 21" Monitor Running at 1600x1200 with 32bit Color.
I held my 7135 up to the screen, and by the way, I removed my brand sticker.
I will post a picture with the 7135 and 6035 when I locate it.
So the 7135 screen is indeed the same size as the 6035's. I thought I'd read that, but it's nice to have confirmation.
That puts it at just about the same screen size (and resolution) as the Palm m130. (The Palm's screen seems to me to be just a very tiny bit larger, nothing like the diff btw this and the "classic palm" screen.)
If you're itching to hold your 6035 up to a color screen of the same size/rez and compare and say "yes, it's enough better to help, ", you can find an m130 in most techie stores today. When I did this I found that, yes, the color and useful backlight and high contrast ratio did make a big improvement in readability and usability. Particularly in non-optimal lighting.
(It is insanely difficult to find simple quotes of screen dimensions for this stuff!)
MY VZ rep brought in his 7135 in last week, the screen size looks identical to the 6035. I also held it up to my wife's 500 something color palm. The color and brightness and clarity were so much more impressive on the 7035. I wish I had checked the firmware version. Oh well next time.
