I am curious what email apps are being used with the 7135.
If you are currently a 7135 user on the Verizon network and are using an email app to send/recieve/read your email, please supply input as to what app you are using, how it is performing and any other input that may be helpful to folks like myself still awaiting an official Verizon launch. :thinkerg
Hotsynch, do you use SM to get to a corporate email behind a firewall? Is this an app thats synchs directly with the corporate server or do you need to have the desktop running?
I use TreoMail..... so it looks like I'll have to change to something different on the 7135. Probably Snappermail. Did they fix the annoying issue of not being able to click on a URL and automatically launch the browser?

Thanks astel, I looked into this but it doesnt say if it works with anything other then lotus notes and outlook or a pop email. We use IMAP for email with netscape communicator (i think its 4.6) and something called Meeting Maker for our corporate calender. I cant find anything that says it would work for those apps.
I have eudora, snapper and mobile mail loaded on my phone, The only drawback of snapper and mobile is that it does not sync with your outlook where eudora does. That is a must for me, after all whats the point of syncing if you dont get all your data you need.?
The most talked about e-mail app these days is SnapperMail. The 7135 also came with Eudora Mail. If you do a search on either of those you'll find lots of information. You can also visit http://www.snappermail.com to read about that e-mail app on their site.

I checked the snapper mail product info and it says it does not support AOL mail. Does anyone have experience with AOL mail and Eudora or the Mail Client that came with the 7135? Thanks!
I don't think any e-mail clients support AOL Mail for handhelds except for one client that used to be free but now you have to buy it from AOL. Why bother? All you'll get is a bunch of AOL spam every day!
the easiest is gopherking. its les expensive than snappermail, which is an all in one solution for al you email needs. but for daily use, gopherking. :UpThum www.gopherking.com .

Gopherking schmopherking.... I'll take a 3-eyed fish over a gopher anytime :p
Actually, I've always thought it looked like a great e-mail app... and it does support AOL mail.

Being somewhat tecnically challenged, compared to most on this group, I was looking for the easiest, less challenging email app. Went through Eudora, Mobil Mail, Mailer, and some others and once I tried Snapper Mail I stopped looking. Handles my three accounts without any problems or difficulties.
Yeah, I like ol' Blinky, too, though once it's set up, Eudora Mail works fine. My big beef is that there is no mail program supported by IR printing.
Maybe it's just me, but I can't figure out why Palm doesn't have their own wireless mail program. Clearly, there's a demand, and the Palm mail conduit-based system is lacking in the laughable extreme. Maybe it has something to do with the six degrees of seperation that links Kyocera with Eudora.

I dont have the 7135, but, i use snapper mail for work and i got the aol client. If you call AOL customer service, they'll give you a month free of service which is worth a little more than the cost of buying the program. They didn't create or distribute the product so they can't give it to you for free. JUst tell them that you have been an aol customer for a while and its rediculous that you have to pay to get the Palm CLient.
I am still testing snapper mail. The advantage i see is the mail periodic checking (which doesn't work well on my i330) and attachments, (which also doesn't work well on my i330, when sending or recieving anything but tiny tiny attachments it freezes. Otherwise Eudora is just as good. Although snapper mail has a nicer icon
I can't tell if the mail issue is the phone, (i330), program (other people say it works well, i don't think its the program) or Sprint's Vision (i think its vision/ phone)
I will say that there are lots of great settings on snapper mail and i got an email response from the developer with a question answered very quickly
hope this helps.
