Switched from Alltel but I still can't get connected with VZW's network.
Question's for the users that have activated on Verizon
1. What Phone Version (MZ 1.0.27)
2. What PDA Version (SZ 1.0.13)
3. Network Settings--Are you using qnc for the user name and password
4. Do you have Mobile Web turned on?
This has been bittersweet for all of you that are waiting for the actualy Verizon release. I'm not sure I've made the right decision to be an early adopter.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

Well, we aren't really enjoying your pain, 'geek. We are all hoping that you find the potholes in the road for us, so we can have a smoother ride when Verizon Wireless takes the plunge. Don't think of these problems as negatives, think of them as taking a bullet for your buddies.

Here ya go geek.... here is what you need to setup your phone..
Tap "Prefs PDA" icon in the applications menu and use the pull-down menu at the top to select "Network". Settings should say:
Service: Express Net
User Name: user's 10 digit mobile number@vzw3g.com (no spaces)
Password:vzw (then will default to -Assigned-)
Connection: Wireless Modem
Phone: #777
click details
Connection type: PPP
Idle timeout: Never (that's what I use)
Query DNS: should be checked
IP address: should be checked automatic
I have the same problem here in SD - still can't get qnc to work. However, today I got set up with the Express Network and that connects and works without any problems.
I get the error while trying to connect to the plain QNC. On both Alltel and Verizon. I seriously hope its not the phone. I did a search earlier on and found a thread relating to this exact error that appear after a software update on the 6035. Please, please tell me were not in for a long haul. I currently have a phone that i can't use to access my email.
let me say I too can't get this to work. I've been on the phone with Verizon 2nd level support all day. do you get a busy signal after you get the ppp timeout error message? then you have to press the power off button twice to make it stop
Error: Authentication failure (0x1233) means the network, in this case i assume verizon, cannot verfiy the username and password, if you don't have 1x service you will get this error.
pdageek i saw your other post i will update that email with relevant info hope that helps.......

whataup, you genious! You saved the day. Please post your find in the other three threads relating to this error as I don't want to take credit for such a great save. dude, you saved Christmas. A round for whataup!
this works for EIS browser but when i tried accessing some of my pqa's like USA Today and MovieFone i still got errors.
Checking the DNS box still allowed me to connect but eliminated the PQA errors
Finally got connected to qnc on Verizon thanks to a long time on the phone with Mobile Office support.
I guess the 7135 defaults to high speed access so I couldn't connect to the low speed (free) connection. They had me enter the following script in the network area
