: All members registered on 12/18/02 or before are eligible to play.

: Each participant is allowed a maximum of 5 guesses as to the approval or release/release annoucement (which ever comes first) by the next carrier (Verizon or Sprint ONLY). This announcement could also be an internal announcement at Kyocera.

: The winning day/time/carrier guess will be determined by Smartphonesource.com's contact at Kyocera.

: Guesses will be in this format: Day, AM or PM (based on Central Time Zone), Verizon or Sprint

: Multiple guessors will be allowed for each day/time/carrier

: Guesses must be submitted via Private Message to Jazz

: The contest will be open for guesses from 12/20/02 12:01am Central Time Zone through 12/31/02 11:59pm Central Time Zone

: The winning day/time/carrier guessors names will be placed in a hat for a drawing for the winner of the 7135. The drawing from the hat will be captured on video and placed online for any who wishes to view it.

: The winner will receive a new Kyocera 7135 Smartphone from www.smartphonesource.com. The winner will receive his choice of carriers, however, if the winner chooses a carrier that has not approved or released the 7135, they will have to wait until it has been approved and released.

: Smartphonesource.com suggests a minimum of a $5 donation per guess to participate in this contest.

: SmartphoneSource.com reserves the right to cancel the contest and refund all donations at any time.

: Smartphonesource.com shall not be held liable for any technical errors that occur and/or mail lost in the USPS handling system.

So is that $5 per as in 5 max guesses would total $25, or $5 per PM to Jazz with X number of guesses?

It's like raffle, the more you buy, the better the odds

i guess this serves me right, because I been lurking for months and JUST registered this morning.

If we're in Canada (quebec province) can we also apply to the contest?

Or is this reserved for only the Verizon/Sprint people

Even though the posted rules do not prohibit a previous winner from participating, I plan to stay out of it. I'd never hear the end of it from the participants of the D.C. area Kyo Krazies get togethers if I happened to win a 2nd one!!!

However, it is my intention to give smartphonesource another donation just as if I had submitted 5 release date guesses. I encourage all of you to do the same. The amount of information I receive on this forum is worth many times more than the donations I have made.

you have to submit your donation as soon as sending in your guesses... i think Jazz has a 3 day max? am i right JAZZ?

So, is the AM/PM local to the headquarters of the announcing party, local to Kyo, since they are making the decision, or local to the guesser? My afternoon is Kyo's morning

Since who guesses the time first doesn't matter, I think it would be do to everyone's benefit to guess as late as possible, so as to have as much info.

I sent another $10 and my guesses last weekend, heard no confirmation yet via PM...
