Nothing really new reported, although a $500 estimated price sounds like a nice compromise between the wide ranges of prices we've heard until now...
The table at the bottom of the article shows 320x320 max resolution; I thought it was 160x160...

Here's a snippet about the 7135:
Kyocera Smartphone 7135
The clamshell Kyocera Smartphone 7135 is a redesign of its predecessor, the QCP-6035. The 7135 still uses the Palm OS, but it receives enhancements such as a color display, MP3 support, and MultiMediaCard/Secure Digital expansion. The 7135 is also the only hybrid to offer interchangeable batteries -- a must for the road warrior -- and is an excellent choice if you're looking primarily for a cellphone. If you plan on using messaging applications, be warned: Graffiti text entry just doesn't cut it.
I'm going to record the tv show about it next week and if I have enough time I will encode it as an avi and post it here provided the Mods dont mind the file size.
Although they are right about the best pda/phone, I have NEVER been impressed with their knowledge. For example, it's widely known, and easily seen, that the samsung pda/ phone i300 has ALWAYS had interchangeable batteries.
Obviously, they don't pay well enough to get even half-intelligent people to review these things!

Chances are the file size WILL be too large (probably in excess of 10 MB). If so, can someone provide a server for Steve to post the file TO for temporary storage? OR is there a TechTV site which might already offer the program in some streaming media form?
Re: Tech TV Article - "best all-in-one cellphone/pda "
I sure get tired of these people knocking the Graffiti system just because they don't know how to use it. Anyone that's practiced for a few days can "Graffiti" with the best of them. I can write on my Kyo alot faster than I ever could manipulate a thumb-board, or even the poke & peck method of the mini-keyboard.
I used to be pro-Graffiti til i got my silkyboard, and Im having a blast on the T-Mobile Sidekick keyboard --maybe its a matter of preference, not right or wrong
I forgot to mention the portables. I haven't had any experience with them but if they're big enough for my hands, then that would be a nice alternative. It's frustrating to be a speed typer (95wpm) and be reduced to tap-tap-tap, tap-tap, tap-tap-tap-tap.
I just got off the phone with Verizon and they said that with prepay you are not granted internet access, AT ALL! Even though I can't subscribe to Wireless Web and get Verizon internet service, I thought I could subscribe to standard dialup service...NO DICE! I get kicked off after 20 seconds because of the switch used for prepay. I hope someone from Verizon sees this and can help me!

Tell them they can't do that. It's class discrimination against everyone who doesn't have a credit card.

I don't believe a credit card is required for service. It is entirely possible to pay only with cash/check/electronic bank debit.
That said, CC is easiest, AND while you don't need a credit card, you DO have to pass a credit check. If you don't have a good credit history (Doesn't have to be bad, can simply be "nonexistent", i.e. you've never had a line of credit before), they may ask for a deposit of up to $500. (That's what I paid a few years ago. Just got it back this summer, prolly could've gotten it back a year or two earlier.)
I don't think any attempts at suing them for discrimination would hold - The whole credit history system is pretty well established and (sometimes unfortunately for those who are just getting started) accepted widely.
The frustrating part is that I HAD service on prepay FOR A YEAR! They said that when they changed their switches, the ability to use internet through prepay went away. I CAN'T EVEN USE ANOTHER PROVIDER!!!! I understand I can't get wireless web but I can't use another ISP for access through a local dialup! That is insane! I am PAYING for the minutes which I use the phone, at a rate MUCH higher than standard account holders. That is in insane decision on Verizons part. They would have me buying time right and left to stay on the net. My ISP would get the monthly payment for the internet, though.

TechTv did post the video with the article so I wont bother uploading the 18mb file I encoded.
Originally posted by KLiuLess How could they include the 7135 when calling hybrid devices "fragile"? It's always easier, but often incorrect, to generalize.
I hope the 7135 is as strong and unbreakable as the 6035. I've lost count on the number of times my 6035 has fallen onto hard concrete and it's still going strong.
whats bad about the 7135 is that now the flap or flip portion has some delicate electronics in it.. not just a keypad.. so i would suspect it to be a little more fragile than the 6035...
