We already think we'll have the 7135 in our hands in the next month or so. So now that many of us are making the transition from the 6035 to the color world of the 7135, what new Palm apps will be best for the color environment? We will have smart cards, mp3 players, video playback, potential for faster internet access, sdfsdsfd (sorry, I had to clean the drool off my keyboard).
What are the best Palm apps to start us off on the right foot in the color/muti-media world of the 7135?<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>
First and formost will be Solitare (if it's not there)
then TopGun SSH
IPCalc
Jfile5
PowerOne Calc
and a few MP3's of course...
then later on that new E-Mil app
and the SilkyBoard (when released or tested on the 7135)
thats it..
and yep.. already have my SD card read waiting and LOADED with the above apps !

I got more junk than this, they are just still in black n white. They could have released color versions for some of them, but I havent had the time to check recently.
I wont go back to Black N white - I looked at my brothers handspring and got all confused without color!
If anybody wants me to try something they have in b/w on my color IIIC to see how it works/looks for them, let me know. I could probably dig up a screen shot prog and post pics here.

:hapface Thanks for the laugh James, funniest thing I've read all day.
Datebk5 works in color on a IIIC- We'll have to see how well it integrates with a 7135 however, I wouldnt want it to mess up the mp3 alert tones- Im sure they will add supprt for it.

I have used it on somebody else's Palm- It practically comes included with most new palms nowadays -- It was with the Palm M125 and the Clie sj30-- I wonder if kyocera will throw it in.
It does have color support and is one of the better office packages from what I have heard/seen. I have yet to use it because most of the spreadsheets/databases I want to use would exceed the 8mb limit of my IIIc - I'm hoping the SD card will remedy that situation.
I plan to test Docs To Go and probably ThinkOffice (b/c my brother uses it) with the 7135 (when i get one) - I will of course tell everyone here what the results are.

Help me with a newbie question pls: How will the SD card remedy the memory to use a larger spreadsheet/dbase programs? You mentioned 8mb on your IIIC and the Kyo will be 16mb. Isn't the SD for saving data/pix/music or uploads where necessary? Thx
I think the last version i tested only allows a limited number of rows- I am hoping with SD capacities they have allows for very large databases to be loaded.
I'm a QuickOffice user myself... combine that with SnapperMail and it's a sweet combo that lets me work on files from the road and then attach them to e-mails to send to someone at the office.
When you say a "limited number of rows" what do you mean? In a spreadsheet or database?
Yesterday I downloaded HanDBase with conduit support for MS Access! I work with databases constantly and I'm looking forward to playing with this and seeing what kind of apps I can design for our Palm users here at my company. It would be cool if I could create some front-ends for my databases so they could begin inputting data from the road.
