Japanese input on smartphone

Wondering if anyone out there has any experience with Japanese language input on the 6035 or 7135?
Also, for what it's worth I spoke with a Kyocera rep in the exchange dept today about a repair on my current 6035. He told me the 7135 was going to be released on Oct 27th. He also told me that Sprint was supposed to release at the beginning of 2003 but he heard they were working on a pull ahead for the holiday season.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

Well maaaybe just because Kyocera is releasing it on the 27th doesn't mean that the service providers will - It could take awhile for verizon to handle labeling, packaging, training, etc. to be ready. (most verizon reps don't even know what a 7135 is, so it looks like some need a lil training first.)

All they are waiting on is Quality Assurance. Packaging etc was done along time ago. Remember all the software upgrades the 6035 went through and how many board members fried their phones trying to use the kwpt tool.... well maybe this time, because we're not rushing them, they will get it right..... I'm sure they're will be some kinks in the works, but let's keep the fingers crossed. Word on the rumour mill around here is November.... but that's just the birds chirping.

If I were a wireless sales rep, I'd need a pda just to keep track of all the phones coming out. Remember we're just interested in =one= phone while they have dozens currently in service and dozens in the pipeline all the while their managers are probably yelling at them daily, "why aren't you selling more mobile web and instant messaging plans?".
