Verizon response (for what it's worth)

About a week ago I contacted my local Verizon retailer and inquired about the possibility of placing an advance order (prepaid) for a 7135. Here is their response...

Thank you for contacting Verizon Wireless.

We apologize that we are not able to reserve the Kyocera 7135 as you requested.

Verizon Wireless is constantly looking at improving the services, features and phones our customers use for their communication needs. At present, there are several digital models in testing for compatibility and reliability with our network. As you know, we will not offer a product or service unless it meets our high standards of reliability our customers have come to expect. Unfortunately, we cannot provide information regarding which models are being tested or approximate release dates as this may raise expectations that may not be met.

Feel free to visit our website periodically for new products and services being offered.

Please write to us again through www.VerizonWireless.com if you have any further questions.

Sincerely,

Gail

They are lawsuit timid (with good reason). They've got fine print disclaiming any optical problems you might experience reading their fine print.

Just as unfortunately, Kyocera Wireless apparently does not follow this policy, as demonstrated by their press release announcing the 7135 on June 24th, over 3 months ago and counting!!

Oh the torture!!
