Through some involvement with Kyocera on a seperate project, I happened to receive a copy of "The Key," which is Kyocera's internal company newsetter. Guess which new PalmOS-enabled smartphone had its own full-page article?
I received permission to scan and post the article here. It should be attached to this message as a [fairly] low-resolution jpg. If anybody wants a high-resolution scan, let me know and I'll email it directly.
My contact at Kyocera wanted me to include a link to their 7135 page with the article.. I'm sure most of you have seen this already, but just in case, here it is !

Kewl!!! The most exciting part of the article is the 2nd to the last paragraph...
"An exciting advertising campaign will boost awareness in October when the 7135 becomes available to consumers" (emphasis is mine...)
While I'd be as happy as the next guy if the phone did show up in October, I have to warn everybody that this issue of the magazine is dated September/October, and the writing deadline was probably sometime in August. So, it doesn't necessarily supercede anything we might hear about a delayed release. I'll see if I can get any further clarification on this issue..
Not to nitpick... but I thought it was kinda funny that they made a point of saying that the clam-shell design would help protect the dial pad when closed. Um, shouldn't they be more concerned with protecting the SCREEN? I'm glad they are spending more time working on getting out the 7135 than editing the newsletter :clap

I agree that it sounds incorrect, but I wonder if they meant that with the clamshell form, you protect the keypad in that you don't have to worry about accidentally making calls from inside your purse or briefcase.

Maybe?
Yeah, that's quite possible, and might be a standard feature to mention with any clam-shell phone. BUT, if you were to ask 100 I300/6035 users what they worry about MOST with their smartphones, 100 of them would probably say "screen".
