After hearing other kinoma users problems with audio going out of sync I wonder if its not the player with the problem, but the producer thats eronously creating bad videos. Has anybody used an existing kinoma video, like a movie trailor, to test if the sound gets out of sync?
Hope this helps - good luck davemayo!
I've run the trailers from the Kinoma website. The sound is in synch but there's a background tapping noise and any high frequency sound is very distorted. I can't believe this is all that hard. You make it sound like you need to be a sound engineer to make this all work - is there really that much incompatibility/inconsistency out there? Can't Kinoma build a converter engine that includes all the most common codecs?
Originally posted by ajr93 I bought my 7135 from the wireless zone. I do not seem to have the mgi photosuite software. Is it a separate cd?
No ... it's on the SAME Kyocera CD.
When the CD launches, you should see an option for "Additional Applications". The PC version of PhotoSuite is part of the "Media Player Desktop" software.
I believe the 7135 is suppose to ship with PhotoSuite. However, the CD I received did not have any software for this program. I've tried to search this forum to see if this was ever raised, but I couldn't find the answer. I've looked under "Additional Applications" on the CD and while there are many listed, there is not one for PhotoSuite. What am I missing?
I had PhotoSuite on my 6035. Not knowing if it was the same version that came with the 7135 I attempted to install it onto my PC. The install program only goes 99% then stops. I've searched and removed everything on my PC that contains the word "photosuite" but still can't install.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I noticed on the Roxio website that you can't install the same version on the same pc (ooops).
I had same problem (without ever having program on my pc. Seemed that the way to fix it for me was to let it stay at 99% install mode and go have a few cups of coffee. When I came back sometime later....it was ready to fully install. (Not a 'fix' I know but....maybe just patients is the answer (something I DON'T HAVE ALOT OF)

"even with all my little complaints....it WAS worth the wait"
Thanks for the tip. I made it further through the install the previously. Towards the end of the install it just stopped and never resumed. I'm wondering if their install is so flaky how good of a program can it be.
If it is the "xxx is preparing the Installshield(R) wizard which wil guide you through the install process. Please wait..." window, try turning off anti-virus...it tends to make it go a lot slower when it is left on.

the pic's are ok with photosuite, just be careful when you dump pic's into the photosuite pc software for conversion to palm, it selects 256 colours instead of 65000. Just click on all the pic's and make sure they are checked for 65000 colours.
once you see them on the 7135, if u tap the screen it appears to change the zoom of the pic from 3 preselected values....
Purchased a phone via EBAY with no disk. Was able to get the desktop from Kyocera, but it didn't include the Photosuite software, and I can't find it under "Photosuite". Anyone know where to get it, preferrably free or obtain the original CD? Thanks for the help.
i saw the tealmovie demo with sound and it looks like we're a few years away from having a PALM phone that can play video well with good sound.
i also looped the photosuite demo video while listening to an mp3s. the video slowed down by about 50%... so you figure a 200 mhz processor with os5 should be enough for high color video with a decent frame rate and good sound?
booo... i was all ready to watch the matrix revolutions trailer on my phone.
added: put on tealmovie and i like it a lot more. still needs some work tho. but the clip kept up. woohoo i got matrix on my 7135.
