This is apples and oranges. You can't compare a Pocket PC Mobile device to Palm OS 4.1.
To each their own, and each has a nitche. I'll stick with no streaming media, better battery life, a lower price tag, and a OS that supports thousands more applications.
I have an iPAQ, and it's nice, but it collects dust....
Another smartphone using the GSM protocol.
Highest priority for me in evaluating a smartphone is CDMA.
And analog roaming. Remember that a cell phone is only as good as its ability to get through. Only analog ensures some ability to get 911 in rural areas. :alieneyes

lol... you're right, I hadn't thought about that comparison. I remember when the Neopoint was announced... I was pretty interested in it (it was pre-pdQ), but then it got delayed and by the time it came out I was waiting on the pdQ. At the end of its short life I think the neopoint was about the cheapest phone Sprint offered.

and the rest is history...
lol... sounds like love at first sight :kiss
Have you told her (the i300) that she's out the door as soon as the 7135 comes out? (I guess you could just "cheat" on the i300 by keeping the 7135 out of site of it )

You hit the nail on the head. It's not a "Pocket PC Phone Edition", it's a "Smartphone 2002" formerly code-named "Stinger" by Microsoft. Having no touch screen means heavy PDA users would still have to carry a PDA so this is targeted to people who need limited PDA functions. This phone will have a following, but given a taste of what a PDA can do, I can only see Stinger owners soon pining for a full fledged PocketPC Phone Edition. Then again, maybe not. There's lots of people who don't know about downloading and installing PDA programs, or even care to know. They just want address book, todo list, datebook, and having email and internet is gravy.

Yeah I signed up with Sprint in the first place b/c I wanted that Neopoint phone badly. I never got it..then I started my journey through all the carriers until I landed with Verizon.
So what happens next? Just after I discover the 6035 and this site, the buzz about the 7135 starts and I'm starting to think I'm cursed.
