I've been having problems with my 6035 for about a month now and so I finally took it down to the local Verzion store and got it replaced only to get it home and begain having a different set of problems with the new one. I took the second one back in today and didn't make it out of the store and it had to be replaced and now I'm having a whole difference set of problems with the fourth one tonight. However, I just got off the phone with the Verzion guy after spending nearly 90 minutes trying to sort out my problems and he told me that they already have the 7135's setup and troubleshooting procedures in their computers which usually indicates the phone has been or will be release very shortly.....I can't wait.

iBug, the guy that I was talking to was a technical guy trying to sort out my text messaging and phone programing. He told me that he had been getting loads of calls on the 6035 and ask why not change to a new phone and I explained that I was waiting on the 7135. He then told me that he had been looking at that phone as well and that he already had its info on line ready to use. Additionally, while in a Verzion store yeaterday they told me that they had hearld that the phone will be out towads the eand of Oct. Granted none of this is in cast in stone but take these bits andpeices of intelligence and add them to others on this board and we may very well see the 7135 released within the next 30 -45 days. Hopfully...

Enjoy the journey, it should be just as much fun as the destination.
the sooner it comes out, the sooner it can start dropping in price.
oh for the "$99 special"
:cashwalle
I decided to become more pro-active in my effort to obtain a 7135. This afternoon I contacted my Verizon reseller (via email) and asked if I could place an advance order for a 7135. I even indicated that I would be willing to pay in advance if I was notified as soon as they have a phone to deliver. I'll let y'all know what kind of a respone I get back.
Do we know where the 7135 assembly line is? Perhaps we could show up and get the phone hot off the presses and save them the cost of the packaging and shrinkwrap. (wink)
I love all the funloving joking as much as the next guy (or girl), but for those of us with sometimes limited bandwidth/minutes to browse the forum remotely (mobile)....
Could we set up a thread whose purpose is solely the discussion of tidbits, info from informed sources, etc. about the release date(s) for Sprint/Verizon without all of the kidding around.
Again, I don't have a problem with the fun, these forums are a great place for humor, but when bandwidth/minutes are an issue, it'd be nice to know that if a thread had a new post with info from a first or second hand source, it was on topic and relevant.

Trying not to be a kill-joy,
Actually, the site www.smartphonesource.com has a front-page to the site which has on it... almost nothing. Basically just a link to the forum. Any chance we could convince the ADMINS to place a few key bits of info up there (maybe once or twice a week) on critical pieces of info:
1. Most current rumors for release of the 7135
2. Best deals on the 7135 (when it comes out)
3. Best deals on the 6035
4. Sites for supporting the "obsolete" 6035 (when it becomes so)
5. Rumors about upcoming Kyocera Smartphone developments (8235, etc.)
(Actually, I'd bet we could find volunteers willing to work up the HTML for such a site from the normal user population, which then the ADMINS could just post as www.smartphonesource.com/index.html)
Then I could make up the PQA to have an option to bring up just that front page, if you wish.
I just suspect that if you try to cut out the banter, you will kill the board. I appreciate mobile concerns (since all of us can access this site mobilely) but you don't want to throw out the baby with the bathwater... you just want to get the best parts of the tub.

What if these puppies are manufactured in Kyoto, Japan? That would be quite an ambitious "road" trip:roll2
