* RIM SUES HANDSPRING
Research In Motion (RIM), creator of the BlackBerry email device, is suing Handspring. The complaint, filed in the US District Court in Delaware, alleges that Handspring's Treo k180, Treo 270, and Treo 300 infringe against "a patent associated with unique keyboard features" of the BlackBerry device. No further details were available at press time.

Mundane explanation

Quote:
did this info come from your galactic google contact? [/b]
Actually, there was a much more simple and mundane explanation. I sent my giant robot friend down to Google's headquaters to collect the data himself. I did manage to keep the "take-over-the-world" chip offline, but I am recieving sporadic reports that a bug his bios may have caused the flooding of Mountain View CA with hot caramel.

Apologies to any Google Staffers.

Nah, it's because Kyocera has stated that they make phones first, PDA intergration second. Many Palm devices have add on thumbboards that plug into the accesspry port. Who knows, maybe this one will get one too!
