The small Triangle on the Phone Status Screen
With Verizon Wireless Service, What is the small triangle on the 7135 phone status screen meaning? It also appears on the external display.

Not familiar with a triangle on the external display, but the one on the screen usually is the marker for Jot. Do you have a graffiti replacement installed (like Jot)?

What you (may) be referring to is the envelope icon which indicates that you have a text or voicemail message.

No it is a triangle. I have seen the envelope icon. I am thinking it is a roaming icon.

You are correct. It is a roaming indicator.

After I posted, I checked the manual. It says that the roam indicator is a reversed "R". Is the manual wrong?
Oddly, the manual includes a screen shot that includes the triangle you are referring to, but most screen shots do not have it and there doesn't seem to be any mention of it.

I also see the triangle on my phone. It is always flashing when I see it. Based on when it appears, it must be a roaming indicator. I am assuming that the flashing triangle means that the minutes are included under my America's Choice plan. If the triangle is not flashing, I would assume it means you are off network and paying for airtime.

Yes it is the roaming indicator...I just want their manual to match the truth! I demand justice from Kyocera!

Thanks for everybody's help
Thanks for everybody's help. So There is no R in a black block for roaming. Only a small triangle that flashes.

FWIW, when I was roaming a couple of months ago, I had a reversed R. I've never seen a triangle.
I've got an old Alltel phone on the Verizon network running the 29/44 firmware. So maybe it's a phone or firmware issue as to what roaming indicator shows up. When I hard reset, the Alltel banner comes up, so there must be some stuff in the phone that doesn't change with the firmware upgrade. Maybe the reversed R is the roaming indicator on an Alltel phone.
