Is the jukebox application on the 7135 compatible with audible files. (audible.com) These are not mp3 files. Not as high quality since it is not music files so download faster. Audible lists palmone phones such as the tungsten and zire as compatible but does not list the 7135 specifically.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

According to Jonathan M. Bell, the creator of the Bebopper MP3 player for the 7135, "At this point in time -- as discussed previously on smartphonesource.com -- the 7135 SDK does not support bookmarking features. An application can only pause and resume the current track. This limitation will not make AudibleReady support possible given Audible's requirements."

So, the answer is it does not. When you get the Audible files that are MP3s, however, it will play those.

I am a huge Audible.com and find it funny (OK, annoying) that I still have to carry two devices so I can listen on the road. One reason I would upgrade to a new Kyocera would be Audible.com compatibility. In the meantime, it was a pleasant surprise to find that the Kyocera car adapter I just bought appears to fit into the Audible Otis player, although I haven't really tested it yet. A little convergence being better than none at all!

I understand that audible fans can use Total Recorder to easily convert the files.

I am told (by the folks at Audible.com) that it is PalmOne's intent to limit Audible compatibility to Palm devices that run OS 5.0x
