It's Gone ...I weep

My 7135 finally gave up the ghost. 5 1/2 years and it's a goner. My life will never be the same. Damn you Kyocera for never offering an upgrade of this phone! I am now off to the land of the POS phones. Alas, superphone, there was never enough time.

I love this phone, it's so heavy and that clam shell is top notch. I love the clacking sound it makes as you open and especially as you close it.

End of the line for me, unfortunately

My last 7135 threw the dreaded SRCP two Fridays back. I have no replacements available, and the pickings on eBay are razor thin. Am thinking of going with either a Treo 755 or a Palm Centro (VZW). Would prefer a clamshell, but no one makes one any more (certainly not a native Palm unit); and these two birds are on sale at VZW right now. Would appreciate comments regarding preferences and problems regarding these two.

Thanks, all.

sorry your 7135s went under

from my limited experience with others' 755 and centro

the centro is adequate, quick enough, but not as quick as the 755, and it has a smaller screen...but it is lighter (and cheaper...in case something happens to it) Also, accessories (batts, etc are probably cheaper for the centro) I could speculate about other stuff, but to compare, the best is phonearena-- here's a direct link to compare the two in detailed ways

Palm Treo 755p, Palm Centro compare results (Phone Arena)

what are you doing with the old 7135s/accessories? Like to give them a good home for parts? send me a pm/email

good luck!
