Does the 7135 keypad and Graffiti area have a backlight?

YES, the keypad has a backlight. The article(s) that said it didn't was(were) wrong.

The backlight has the following settings:

Disabled (this reviewer who said it didn't have one probably had this setting)

10 seconds
30 seconds
10 seconds and in call
30 seconds and in call

The Graffiti are backlight goes on and off with the keypad backlight, not the PALM backlight. It can be turned back on by hitting any of the phone keys. I find the CLR key works well since most PALM applications ignore it.
