I ordered the verizon kit the other day to use the free internet (albeit 14.4) with my laptop in non-wifi areas. They also have batteries for $2.95. I have had my phone for 5 years now. Not one problem ever. It is seeing some wear so I am ordering a 6035 case (the housing/dialing pad) from
http://www.accessoriesresources.com/...20Face%20Cover
http://www.wirelessgalaxy.com/ac/kyoceraqcp6035_ac.html has screen protectors, antenna, stylii, and other accessories
I know there are lcd screens out there as well and that is all I need to keep going until Verizon cuts my cord. I'm on prepay so I pay about 10¢/min with nights and weekends free.
I keep hoping this will be the VW Bug of the cellphone world and have someone come along and add functionality to make it compliant with the insane e911 regs.
I see people fight to hold onto their tiny phones as I comfortably have mine on my shoulder while my phone hand is temporarily needed, people squint to read their screens in bright sunlight (mine just gets more legible), juggle their PDA in another hand...on and on.
Those of us that bought these phones from the get-go knew something and I'm sure most of us consider it to be one of our best decisions as far as electronics are concerned.
The first laptop I bought in April of 1983 was a TRS-80 Model 100. Some of you may remember it. I paid $800 for it.
