6035 as USB modem

I've been able to get my 6035 working as a wireless modem when I connect it to my laptop's serial port. But I also happen to have the Palm serial-to-USB adapter, so after attaching the adapter and connecting it to the laptop''s USB port, and installing the driver for the USB adapter, I try to dial out once again to use the 6035 as a modem. This time, the laptop does not recognize the 6035. Has anyone managed to get this to work?

The problem is your laptop still sees the 6035 as a serial not USB device. When you installed the USB to Serial adapter it was assigned a COM port. The cable you are using is a serial cable so even though you have it connected to a USB-Serial adapter it is still a serial connection. Set your laptop to the serial port of the USB-Serial adapter and it should work the same as before.
