new phone hotsynch

I have been having a lot of problems with the screen on my phone. I exchanged it for a new phone. I just can't remember now about hot synching. Can I get all my applications back without having to re-install them all? I did a hot synch and only my address and date info seem to transfer. Not all my apps and ring tones and such. I have a backup of my hard drive and can go back to the beginning. What am I forgetting to do?<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

Everything should have come right back in. When I had replaced mine (twice) about 2-3 weeks ago, all's I did is dock and sink. Walla, all was back. (with the exception of my preferences, and I think I know why is because I fiddeled with them before sinking.

Try doing a hard reset (remove everything), then re-sink your unit and see if that does'nt work for you first.

The Standard Kyo desktop DOESN'T backup everything

You need to upgrade to the FREE Palm 4.01 DESKTOP software that's on the Palm.com

That still isn't perfect, the best bet is the 4.01 and Backup Buddy.

With backup Buddy you can even backup the ROM files.

Even then there's a chance you might still have to re-enter registration info into the unit.

But unfortunately as I found out and you found out the hard way the regular Kyo Desktop doesn't cut it.
