1. Volume still low, but not as low as the 6315. K-JAM volume is really loud!
2. JAM is faster than the 6315. K-JAM is closer to the 6315, but the battery life really shines.
3. Um, it works? Don't know what you are asking here.
4. Camera sucks on the 6315. Camera sucks on the JAM, camera continues to suck on the K-JAM. Honestly, they are OK. Better on the JAM than the 6315. But still 1.3 mp. There are some settings to adjust to help get better pictures, but the only time you get decent photos is with the right lighting.
5. Not a big issue with my 6315. Hardly worth mentioning on the JAM. Happens with the K-JAM. Soft reset problems are usually related to the software you install, though, so this is not always a good comparison.
6. 6315 OK, JAM still OK, K-JAM great.
7. Not sure what you mean here either. My reception has been fine with all three phones. Any place I lose reception, I lose it with my other TMO phone, too (T610).
I have also heard Spring 2006. You will save quite a bit getting it through TMO than the unbranded price. If you are not that patient, get a used JAM.
Call waiting does not work on the 6315 when you originate a call. Convince yourself by calling someone from your 6315 (your own voicemail for example), then have someone call your 6315. Try to answer the incoming call waiting. Your 6315 will hang, and you will lose both calls. HP and TMO call this a "known issue which was supposed to be fixed with the latest ROM upgrade, but was not. The fact that it was not fixed ... is a known issue." The fact that wireless and other tech companies have us by the balls and have chosen to not compete with one another in the realm of customer service, is also "a known issue."
I simply can't convince myself of that...I don't have the 6315 anymore But now that you mention it, I remember hearing of that bug. Not one I ran across when I used it.
Tested on my K-JAM...made a call then called myself (it's lonely here in my office
I was able to answer the incoming call, the original call was automatically put on hold. I hung up with the second call and the first call was still on hold. I took it off hold and could continue the first conversation.
Good. I went through three 6315s and they all do it - right out of the box. Only then did they tell me it is a "known issue." The phrase still sends chills up my spine.
Can't wait to get K-jammin'
You don't have voice command installed do you? Someone told me it is not WM5 compatible.

I have read that folks have been able to get Voice Command working. But IMHO, it is a resource hog. It is very accurate and not having to train each number is nice, but I can't justify it. Especially since the K-JAM comes with voice dialing (but you must train each entry). And voice dialing can be initiated with a bluetooth headset!
I prefer training for two reasons. One, I simply don't have that many names that I use voice dialing for, so training is not a big deal. Two, I can word each voice tag the way I want to, not the way a contact is entered.
The built-in voice dialing can also run apps. But it is missing digit dialing. And it is included with the phone.
