Unhappy voicemail indicator won't go away

I have Cingular service with my Imate Jam... and lately, my voicemail indicator won't go away, and there's no voicemail at all! It's stuck on the screen. I tried soft boot, tried taking the SIM out and put it back in. NOTHING. Please experts out there, help this newbie out. Thanks in advance!!

Try leaving yourself a voicemail and then clearing it. You could also call Cingular, I think there is something the carrier can reset on their end.

Send a message via AIM to brosson

I have an account with T-mobile and recently they revamped the voicemail system. I could still access my old mailbox (for a limited time), but my default mailbox was the new one. I had my voicemail indicator stuck on as well and didn't have any messages. It turns out that my old mailbox had a message...so once I specifically called my old mailbox and deleted the message, the indicator went away...FWIW.
