Unhappy I-mate problems with alarm clock

I have a problem with the alarm clock function on my i-mate.
Recently, when I set the alarm, it does not go off and also causes the i-mate to shut down completely.

Tried hard resetting it to no avail. Finally found that taking out the battery & SIM card and then reinserting those, then hard resetting again, got it started.

Now this is a consistent problem every time I set an alarm.

Anyone else having this problem? Anyone have suggestions on how to fix it?

TIA

Not that I've seen this issue with certain ROMs, but what are you running?

Unhappy alarm problem with my I-Mate...

Did you ever figure out how to shut off the alarm? Also, when I set an appointment with a reminder, the alarm doesn't work. I went through all the manuals and they explain how to set the alarms, but not how to shut them off.

I've had a PDA for 10 years, so it's not that I'm new at this game. I'm pretty frustrated.

Hope that you can help.

What version of the OS are you running?
I had a similar problem with my Qtek. The alarm will not go off time to time then had something weird happen, every time I soft reset the phone, I would get notification beeping noise but would not allow me to 'dismiss' any of them. At times I used to get at least 20 anytime I reset.

Try updating your ROM, there may be a bug in the one you have.
