I am a big fan of the metal cases for my pdas. I think they do a great job of protecting my poor little pda in my backpack
I was using a PDAir with my 4705, and although it worked prefectly well, the entire fromwas covered with metal so you could not see the screen at all.
For my JAM, I wanted the same protection, but wanted to see the screen. I went back and forth between the Innopocket and the PDAir. Both have a window to view the screen...a window not an opening that would expose the pda.
I chose the Innopocket and here are my thoughts...
Good:
- Fits the unit prefectly
- Plastic windows shows the entire screen and lines up well.
- Openings all line up.
- Unit is very snug.
- Little sliding door protects camera
- Hinge is on the bottom and the lid can flip around to the back, makes it easier to hold with one hand.
But....the bad:
- Even when closed, the lid has a "loose" feeling and can wiggle sideways a bit.
- Opening for usb cable is there, but the case stops you from actually plugging it in without opening the lid.
Overall, I think the clasp issue is going to make me try another case...
PDAir: window does not display entire screen
BoxWave Armor: window is open, no protection at all
Maybe the BoxWave Active case?
