What is it like for one handed dialing and texting

I am a bit worried about swapping from a normal mobile to a screen based one. What do users have to say about being able to dial and text with one hand or is it really a case of stop and get the stylus out.

Dialing with one hand is easy. However, for texting, I think you would want to get out the Stylus. Personally, I prefer using the stylus to the little keyboards.

From my experiences, it's easy to dial on the screen, but chatting with the little keyboard necessitates using the stylus.

Well to get at a number from the address book, I just press the Contacts hard button, then find the contact number and press the green phone hard button.

Actually. You can turn on Predictive Text (T9). Then, when you type in numbers, it displays the appropriate entries from your Contact List without actually going directly to your Contact List. Therefore, yes, you can dial names in your Contact List without using the stylus.
