Getting email is VERY slow to connect.

When I hit send & receive on my Jam, it says "Connecting..." for more than a minute at a time. Once it actually starts downloading the messages it is as fast as my Treo 650, but it takes so long to connect that I was able to boot my laptop, open Outlook, and download the email that way before the Jam even connected to start getting them.

Is there anything I can do about this?

In addition, the autocheck function only works for one email address. I cannot get it to download for both of the email accounts that I have set up, and I have definitely set it up properly (exactly the same way as it is working on my 6315).

Download Tweaks2K2

Under internet settings, apply the tweak that turns of SSL.
Seems it tries to query SSL servers before it tries NON SSL. This will turn that off and make it MUCH quicker...believe me.

You dont even need to buy the app if you dont want to. Just download a trial, apply the tweak, and remove the app.

You can install the hp6315 email trigger app on non-hp phones. I don't remember where I came across it. Someone put together a cab for all the TMO apps (eek who wants that!) and also a separate cab for just the email trigger.

I can email it to you if you like, just PM. It might have been over on the XDA dev boards, I don't remember seeing it on hf (where I see you alot
